Facilities not listed below may be run by a Community Hall Board and are rented through their hall board representative, not the Township. Please visit this page for a list of Community Halls and their contact information.
CONDITIONS:
Insurance
General Liability Insurance is required for ALL facility rental requests. The renter may obtain insurance through their own broker or by using Armour Insurance Ltd.. The copy of insurance must list the Township of Scugog as an additional insured and be insured for a minimum of two million dollars coverage, unless serving alcohol (see below).
Signed Contract
A signed facility contract will be required when the rental is confirmed.
Alcohol
If serving alcohol the renter must provide a Special Occasions Permit as well as the Smart Serve numbers for the person serving alcohol at the rental. You can obtain a Special Occasions Permit online. If alcohol is being served the insurance must be for a minimum of five million dollars coverage and list the Township of Scugog as an additional insured. All renters must follow the Township of Scugog Municipal Alcohol Policy.
Payment and Refund Policy
Payment must be received at the time of booking, or a credit card may be kept on file to hold the date and will be charged two weeks prior to the rental. If a credit card cannot be provided, a deposit of 60% will be required to reserve the rental date.
Refunds and Cancellations
A cancellation fee will be charged for any facility cancellation made 2 weeks or more prior to the rental date. No refunds will be issued if a rental is cancelled within two weeks of the rental date. The Township of Scugog has the right to cancel or relocate a booking at any time up due to unforeseen circumstances.
